A New Song
Sat, Mar 20, 2010
Today was an interesting day. Why? I had a few phone calls that were a surprise. Saturday, I consider prayer day for my friends. How do I pray? It depends what I know about or who comes to my heart. Some Saturdays, I post a question via Twitter which also posts to my Facebook: It’s Saturday! How may I pray for you. The responses vary and I then learn how to pray accordingly.
My favorite way to pray for my friends, is to simply open my iPhone contacts and scroll down the list. I begin to see names and I pray. Sometimes, one will grab me and I call and ask, how’s life. Then I ask, for real. Today, was a day of surprises. I heard news of both joy, frustration, pain, and loss. My God! Help us all.
The calls took place while I was on the road driving to my niece Morgan Raley’s 7th birthday. It was a bowling party – such fun! When I arrived, I dialed in to the festivities and actually, received a few returns calls that went to voice mail. I checked the messages when I returned back on the road. It was a one hour drive home so more calls happened. Then it hit me after I arrived home. After hearing the prayer needs of the day, this new song was shared with me from God. I believe.
Enjoy reading / listen to audio from my iPhone recorded live today.

Hide Myself Words and Music by Tim DeTellis
I want to hide myself in your presence
Oh Lord God almighty
I want to hide myself in your presence
Oh Lord God almighty
You are the rock that never moves
In you I find my strength
You alone
Can heal a heart
You alone
Can break away the pain that holds
And bring the joy, the peace, the love
the joy, the peace, the love
the joy, the peace, the love
